Digital Art Month CADAF Paris 2021

AR Group exhibition curated by Studio As We Are and CADAF
June 1st, 2021 to June 30th, 2021
Various locations, Paris, France

Digital Art Month will showcase over 100 augmented reality and video artworks by 80 international artists throughout June in Paris. The works will be placed at select cultural institutions including Centre Pompidou, Monnaie de Paris, Musée Carnavalet, National Museum of Asian Arts – Guimet and others. This festival is a celebration of the infinite creativity of artists that pushes boundaries with new mediums in times of social distancing.

In addition, augmented reality filters will be hosted at over 50 Vélib stations, (Paris’ main public bike sharing system) and a number of local businesses across the city. Digital Art Month can be explored via self-guided art walks and specially designed bike tours crafted by Vélib.

Furthermore, 3000 digital screens will stream video works at five Parisian neighborhoods including Champs Elysées, Marais, Trocadéro, Saint-Germain and Villette thanks to our partner Clear Channel.

This edition of the festival is curated by Elena Zavelev and Andrea Steuer of CADAF, Jess Conatser of Studio As We Are, Itzel Yard of Creative Code Art and Zaiba Jabbar of Hervisions. Digital Art Month Paris will feature artworks by popular artists such as Andy Picci, Ines Alpha, Filippo Soccini, Recycle Group, Kevin Abosch and many more.

Digital Art Month Paris is hosted in collaboration with Beaux Arts and Cie and made possible with the support of The Sandbox, Blockparty, BLACKDOVE, Portion, Infinite Objects, Vélib, and Clear Channel.

Conforming Clouds is a tribute to the many digital artists who keep pushing digital artworks and mediums into the traditional art world. In the past, only a few new formats found their way past the gatekeepers, and many innovative artworks and concepts remained unappreciated. But NFTs could be the anticipated vehicle to initiate a digital renaissance.
